The collections of the Palais Galliera are among the richest in the world with more than 200.000 garments, accessories, photographs, drawings, illustrations and prints. This vast collection reflects fashion in France from the 18th century to its most contemporary expressions. The Palais Galliera will reopen on October 1, 2020 with the retrospective “Gabrielle Chanel, Manifeste de mode” followed, in spring 2021, by the exhibition “Vogue Paris 1920-2020” and by the permanent collection new display.
Before its reopening, the Palais Galliera opens its archives. Two of its speakers have selected 5 major pieces from the collections of the City of Paris Fashion Museum and tell you their story.
