“Savoir pour Faire – the podcast” invites you to visit Jean-Paul Gaultier

January 28, 2022

On the occasion of the Haute Couture week, Savoir pour Faire invites you to discover its podcasts and more particularly its brand new episode, an exclusive visit to the workshops of Jean-Paul Gaultier.

To enter the House of Jean-Paul Gaultier feels like walking into some kind of spectacle, and entering his personal Haute Couture studio in Paris is particularly exceptional. The Gaultier House is part of a very private club of design houses authorized to take advantage of the Haute Couture label. Located in the heart of Paris, some twenty male and female artisans bring some of the most iconic contemporary French designs to life. All of this happens under the watchful eye of Fanny Thinsselin and Amandine Gonet, the first and second seamstresses in the workshop. And then there is Céline, Céline Têtedoie, who is responsible for finding the workshop’s materials and supplies amidst hundreds of samples of satin, tulle, buttons, and boning.

Launched in 2021, “Savoir pour Faire* – the podcast” is a series of 30 episodes that aims to illustrate the richness of the career paths offered by the Fashion & Luxury industry, whose technical professions remain little known. Essential, they contribute to the expansion of this sector and make it shine internationally.

*Savoir pour Faire” is a national Campain promoting fashion technical professions.
